"didn't find any way to make grape wine on the internet"

Huh.

I just moments ago input the terms "how to make wine at home" into a Yahoo search and was returned 320,000,000 hits. Yes, that's the correct number, 320 million.

In the first 10 results, there were several on how to make wine from grapes.

Never fear, you have come to the right place with your internet search questions.

I don't want to pick a site for you, since it seems to me eminently possible that out of 320 million choices your preference and mine might not be identical.

I suggest you did what I did, that is to say input the terms "how to make wine at home" into Yahoo. I suggest Yahoo since apparently whatever search engine you previously used (Google?) failed to come up with any of the 320 million sites that yahoo did.

Look at some of the sites returned. Let me warn you, this will take several minutes of your own time. Keep looking at sites until you find one you like. I will note that at least one of the sites I looked at didn't seem that worthwhile to me - but then again, at this time I am not in the least interested in making my own wine.

Here's another suggestion. Wait, a question first - I'm an American who has never been to the UK. Do you have business telephone directories over there? Look in the phone book (the Americanism for telephone directory) for "wine making" or "home winemaking" or (and here is where it gets tricky) "home brewing" and "beer making". Beermakers might be able to point you to winemakers.

Commercially sold kits are touted as among the simplest ways to begin home winemaking.

"put a dollar figure on what they'd expect to pay for a similar bottle of wine they might buy in a store."

Two questions:

What does this have to do with any thing?

Similar in what way? Home-made?
Top $ Gifts for Snowboarders, Oenophiles, Coffee Addicts & Sci-fi Geeks -

This is an article I wrote about big-ticket items being marketed for the holidays this year. One of the gifts include a fully-automated, (more or less) self-contained wine-maker that produces 4 cases of wine at a time.

As a chef, I was curious if anyone here has had any experience with it or opinions, etc. Please feel free to comment or write me. If you have personal experience, I was hoping you could give me your opinion of the quality of the final product and how long (if any) you allowed it to age in the included oak container.

Ultimately, I'm curious to see if anyone would be willing to put a dollar figure on what they'd expect to pay for a similar bottle of wine they might buy in a store.

The article follows:

Article

Thanks,

Ben Daymon

Well, CJVH, I have the old good news, bad news for you.

The bad news is that grape growers and wine makers are scarce as hen's teeth in this community.

the good news is that there are plenty of home wine-making grape-growing sites on the internet. I suggest you use a search engine to find several million or so sites, then pick a couple you like.

Good luck

Hi my name is cody im new here so i just wanted to know if anyone had any knowledge on growing grapes and making wine

ive wanted to make wine for awhile now and i just so happens that through a conversation with the previous owners of my house i found that there is a very nice vine on my property the only thing is that it is growing within pricker bushes and up a pear tree

i would just like some advise on how to go about turning this finding into a process of growing these grapes and eventually making wine from them

thank you

If you are starting from concentrate no stirring is necessary. If you are fermenting a red on skins then in needs to be punched down or pumped over twice a day. Fermentation temperature is also a factor.
