Search
for Closest Wineries at WineWeb.com
Find and Map over 3,000 U.S. Wineries
(Santa
Fe, NM, USA) Planning a vacation and wanting to visit some wineries
close to your destination? The WineWeb can help with a new ZIP
Code-based search, integrated links to each winery's Web site,
and maps to each winery.
The
WineWeb, one of the oldest and largest wine sites on the Internet,
announces their Closest Winery Search feature. To use this free
service, click on the Closest
Winery search link from the The WineWeb at www.wineweb.com
and enter the ZIP Code of a location. From the resulting list
of wineries, a person can view the winery's web sites, call or
email the winery for an appointment, then display a map pinpointing
the winery's location. The WineWeb has linked into the mapquest.com
service to provide driving directions that can even be downloaded
to a PDA or cell phone.
The
WineWeb has built a huge database of winery and wine information
that allows consumers to search using criteria such as region
and type of wine. “With over 3,000 wineries in the U.S.,
there is likely a winery close by waiting to be explored,”
notes Ron Kreutzer, the firm’s founder and President. "We
want to make The WineWeb the first stop for wine on the Internet",
continues Kreutzer. “This new feature is another example of the
consumer-focused services available on The WineWeb, and we hope
that all wine lovers visit us”.
###
WineWeb
Enterprises, Inc. was founded in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1995
to provide Internet marketing services to wineries. Its trademarked
service, The WineWeb, maintains a database of over 12,000 wineries
from over 50 countries around the world, provides value-added
services to wineries and provides a consumer-friendly method of
integrating thousands of wineries into a searchable environment.
All wineries are allowed to update information on their winery,
wines, vintages, and shipping methods as part of the free service.
The company was one of the first commercial database-enabled Web
sites and one of the first sites dedicated to the wine industry.
The
WineWeb gives wineries many opportunities to increase their on-line
exposure, increase Web site traffic and drive sales. The WineWeb
has one of the most robust wine databases on the Internet today,
which brings value to both the wineries and the consumers. A winery
may use the WineWeb site to supplement their existing web site
with more information on vintages, awards, news, and suppliers.
In addition, wineries without a web presence or a minimal site
may elect to create or enhance their Web presence utilizing the
services available through The WineWeb.
