WineWeb Privacy Policy
Short Version
At The WineWeb we are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell or rent information about our customers, wineries, or visitors. All information provided to us remains confidential, except as required by law or to comply with a court order or other legal process.
We will not collect any personal information about individuals except when specifically and knowingly provided by such individuals. Examples of such information are: name, email address, postal address, and phone number. We will not disseminate this information to any outside parties outside of The WineWeb and the specific winery/retailer, and their agents for credit card processing and fulfillment services, to which you have placed an order. Credit card numbers provided on order forms are encrypted for storage and are routinely purged from our database.
We do collect information about wineries and other wine-related organizations by various methods. We use this information to expand our database of wineries and external links. The information collected typically includes email addresses, which we use to periodically contact these organizations.
We may share non-personal aggregate, or summary, information regarding our customers with partners or other third parties, but we do not sell or share any information at the individual customer level.
You may occasionally receive e-mail updates about new features of The WineWeb. We hope you'll find these updates interesting and informative.
