However, what a pleasant surprise when I opened the first bottle! It is absolutely delicious and in fact, tastes much better than several Vintage Champagnes that I've tried. After visiting a total of seven properties, we instantly headed back to Maugle Sierra. It's a family run business, not tremendously commerical and to sit outside with a bottle of wine, block of cheese and good cigar made our afternoon and our trip. Paul and his wife are GREAT people and are by far the best vineyard in this part of the state. We reside in Florida, visit family here in this area and visiting Maugle Sierra is just as important to us now. The wines exceptional, the service superior. It's the type of place we'd like to visit weekly.
