2006 Claret, Estate Vineyard, Paicines
The fourth vintage of our flagship wine, the 2006 Donati Family Vineyard Claret falls right in line with it's predecessors. This Bordeaux blend is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, with additions of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot.
Notes of vanilla, sage, cedar, and dark fruits, with the Donati spice you have come to know and love, the 2006 vintage will be a family favorite.

As our youngest vineyards begin their journey of growth and prosperity, we separate their fruit into our Claret program. These younger vines produce fruit that offers up-front flavors with modest complexity and forward fruitiness. Crafting a Bordelais blend that is approachable early can be a challenging task for a winemaker, particularly when the grapes have great intensity of flavor.
