Until today, the Castéja family remains 100%-shareholder of Borie-Manoux and has, starting from Chateau Batailley that has been the family’s home-base for many centuries, acquired further chateaux in Bordeaux. Today, there are ten chateaux in five different appellations. During the twentieth century, Borie-Manoux also acquired a number of Négociants, wine merchant houses in Bordeaux, amongst them Turpin Frères, Henri Moreau and Albert Duverger, and opened its own production and stocking facilities on 3ha surface directly in Bordeaux. In 1989 Borie-Manoux bought a majority stake of Drouet Frères in Vallet in the Loire region, a producer and Négociant with a wide range of superb Loire wines. Since 2000 Borie-Manoux is a private limited company.
Today, Borie-Manoux is one of the biggest family-owned French winery and wine merchant groups.
