Welcome to elements OF SONOMA

About our Vineyards

A family-owned business, it is the collaborative effort of Micaela De La Sota and Murlin Barker. Four of the Bourdeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petite Verdot, plus Syrah, are grown in Knight Valley on the Tecolote Vineyards.  Tecolote (Spanish for "owl") Vineyards was planted in 2000, utilizing 3309C as the primary rootstock.

The estate-grown varietals are used to bottle small quantities of premium Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and a Red Wine blend, E3. A Malbec made with Sonoma Valley fruit is also distributed.

The first vintage harvested was the 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon, which was equally shared with the wild turkeys roaming the vineyard.

The winery name was selected to reflect the three critical elements of wine:  the Soil, the Grapes, and the Winemaker's Skill, which all come together to make a great bottle of Sonoma wine.
