Located in the prime grape growing area on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake at Hector, the wine list includes award winning Vinifera varietals, French Hybrid and Native American Blends. While most famous for Red Cat, a semi-sweet, fruity blend of Catawba & Baco Noir, Hazlitt's consistently produce world class vinifera wines such as Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling. The tasting room, located in a converted barn decorated with antiques and memorabilia, is both casual and welcoming with stools nestled around a handcrafted horseshoe bar, endless bowls of fresh popcorn and jovial staff to make your tasting experience memorable. There is a picnic area beside a tranquil pond for your summer enjoyment and the winery hosts some of the liveliest events in the region!
The family also operates a charter sailing company, Seneca Daysails from the PublicPier in Watkins Glen.
