Founded in 1990 by Robert McDonald as an importing company of prestigious and sought after Australian wines. The company is based in San Francisco, but is responsible for the selling of wine in all 50 states.
Born in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, Rob grew up amongst many of the winemakers and vineyards that he now represents.
After graduating from the Royal Australian Navy College and several years with the ultra successful Matilda Bay Brewing Company, Rob was then on the staff of the Australian Consulate General in San Francisco.
It was upon leaving his position with the Australian Consulate that Rob launched Old Bridge Cellars.
The Old Bridge Cellar Selection represents Australia's great wines. To qualify, a winery must be internationally recognised as a leader in its category and be specific to a vineyard or region.
