The steeply terraced 5 acre vineyard was planted in 1984 to Cabernet Sauvignon. More vines were added in 1992. The grapes had been sold to Joseph Phelps for years and we knew right off the bat this vineyard could produce a big, elegant, and age worthy Mountain Cabernet, our favorite kind of wine! So, in 1999 we began producing a limited quantity of Cabernet Sauvignon that truly reflects the unique Diamond Mountain District quality.
We are excited to announce that we have recently paired up with Thomas Brown, former Turley assistant winemaker, who will craft our distinctive Diamond Mountain wine. He will also be overseeing our newest project, a Cabernet from our family's "Eagle Summit Vineyard" on Howell Mountain.
