Twisted Oak Winery is located in the Sierra Foothills of California, in Calaveras County. The winery in Vallecito, between Murphys and Angels Camp on Highway 4, is open daily and produces Damn Yummy wines made from Verdelho, Viognier, Tempranillo, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, Murgatroyd, and several other obscure Rhone varietals. (And we lied, Murgatroyd isn't a grape.) Be sure to check out the Rubber Chicken forest on your way up to the winery. We also have a tasting room on Main Street in historic Murphys open Thursday thru Sunday. As you might expect, we have a genuine 44 ounce gold chicken nugget on display at the Murphys tasting room.
