Participate in the
WineWeb Affiliate Program to Sell your Wines
WineWeb now has a joint affiliate sales program that is open to all wineries
who use our online order processing service. We'll do all the administrative
activities, you'll agree to pay a percentage of sales that come
through program.
What is an affiliate program? Simply put, an affiliate
program is where others place advertisements for your products
on their websites. When a visitor clicks on that advertisement,
goes to your order form and buys your product, the referring company
is paid a percentage of the sale. It's popular because you pay
based on results.
A New Option: Currently we offer an Affiliate
Sales Management add-on component to our Enhanced Website service,
where you can setup your own affiliate program and administer it
using our tools. You have total flexibility over the program, but
you have to spend the effort to administer the program.
Now, as our new option, we offer the WineWeb Affiliate
Program, which consolidates all participating wineries into one
program, which we administer. You'll have control over your advertisements,
we'll set the program parameters, approve affiliate companies,
and handle the payments to the affiliates.
How Does it Work? When you agree to participate,
we'll create text ads and banner ads in several sizes (or work
with your graphic designer to create them). We'll then load the
advertisements to our affiliate program area and create the linking
code to point referral visitors directly to your order page (or
another page of your choosing). We'll market the program and review/approve
companies that register for the program. As affiliates post your
advertisements, our software will track the traffic and resulting
sales.
At the end of each month, we'll include any fees
for affiliate sales on your monthly invoice. We'll then pay the
affiliates their share.
How Much Does it Cost? There is a one-time setup
fee of $200. There are no minimum monthly fees. For your sales
resulting from an affiliate referral, you'll be charged 11.5% of
the net product cost (after discounts, but before tax and shipping).
10% will go to the affiliate, 1.5% is for our administrative fees.
Our normal order processing fees will also apply.
For you accounting types, this would be treated
as a Marketing expense and not Cost of Sales. Think of it as a
way to promote your wines on a broader scale, and it only costs
you when a sale occurs.
